Affinity Groups

The BIC Council for Women in Ministry and Leadership is an affinity group of the Brethren in Christ Church. An affinity group is accountable to the Church through the General Secretary and enjoys the denominational support for vision and goals.

The Council for Women in MInistry and Leadership enjoys partnerning with the BIC Church in various ways including Impact Seminar Courses, our biennial luncheon at General Conference, and support of our biennial Women at the Well retreat. We also partner with BIC Communications to inform and educate about issues concerning women in ministry and leadership positions. We receive non-monetary support from the denomination such as website affiliation and general church office resources in promoting our events. Affinity groups do not receive funding from the general church budget and therefore we raise our own funds through membership dues and gifts.
