BICWM Transitions in Staffing
GRANTHAM, Pa. (July 1, 2010)—Brethren in Christ World Missions (Grantham, Pa.) is entering a season of staff transitions, beginning with the retirement of Sharon Benner, Brethren in Christ World missions (BICWM) human resources coordinator. Sharon has served with BICWM since 1997.
"It's been a spiritual walk over the years, and I've been privileged to touch shoulders with men and women, called by God, who have gone into all the world with the Gospel." says Sharon. "The opportunities have been more than I could have imagined. My heart is overflowing with love for so many. Above all, this is God's ministry and I've been honored to walk along in the journey." Answering a clear call from God to step out of the work place at this time, Sharon will be spending more concentrated focus on family in the days ahead.
Following Sharon's departure, of June 30, 2010, BICWM finance coordinator, Peter Guinther, will also conclude his work with BICWM on August 15, 2010 to pursue an MDIV degree at Columbia Biblical Seminary, Columbia, South Carolina in preparation for teaching New Testament at a college level. Having reached this time of fulfillment with BICWM, Peter reflects, "Working for BICWM has been like belonging to a 'glocal' family, and one never really leaves family. Thank you to all who have been a part of this season, and may we all continue to grow in the grace and peace of the Lord Jesus Christ."
Chris Sharp, BICWM executive director, along with fellow team members celebrate the great investment and achievements of these two team members over the past years, noting the integrity, dedication and personal warmth Sharon and Peter have both exhibited in their service.
BICWM will share further details regarding the filling of these positions in future news releases.
