The Indian church began an outreach in the country of Nepal, which borders India and has long been closed to the gospel. For more than a decade, committed Indian Christians with a sense of missionary vision and zeal have been venturing into Nepal to preach, teach and baptize new believers. 1991 saw a relaxation in enforcement of the anti-conversion law in this Hindu kingdom. In February 1992, with a crowd of more than 300 worshipers, the first BIC building for worship meetings was openly and joyfully dedicated.
