CHURCH PLANTING TEAM

The purpose of the CPT is to recruit and equip church planters for both pioneer and daughter church plants. In addition, provide for and coordinate ministries of evangelism, church planting, and kingdom expansion in the Susquehanna Conference.
Duties include:

• To create an awareness and understanding of kingdom expansion and church planting throughout the conference
• To encourage congregations in effecting kingdom expansion by providing training opportunities and resources in facilitating that expansion
• To encourage and challenge pastors to stimulate evangelism at the congregational level
• To seek out areas with potential for a new church planting and to conduct the necessary demographic studies to determine if the areas are suited for a new church
• To faciliateand starting of new churches in cooperation with the Bishop and parenting congregations
• To serve as a resource to congregations that considers starting a daughter or sister church
