COMMUNITY BUILDING TEAM
The purpose of the CBT is to build a community of congregations that demonstrate a reliance on God, serve others with active compassions, pursue peace, live simply and encourage ethnic, cultural, and racial diversity.
Duties include:
- To aid congregations in carrying out the denomination's core values of serving compassionately, pursuing peace, and living simply.
- To facilitate cooperative action to address and meet social needs by working with congregations, MCC or other similar agencies (ie. MMA)
- To develop avenues of regional networking which will seek to break down barriers between and within churches and promote healthy congregations.
- To provide resources to facilitate conflict transformation in our congregations.
- To promote the support of and participation in ministries of the Mennonite Central Committee.
- To report to the Board of Directors Quarterly Meeting and the Annual Meeting.
