Tribute to Rev. Allan J. Heise
On behalf of the Canadian Conference and the Brethren in Christ Church, I express deep appreciation for the many years Reverend J. Allan Heise demonstrated dedicated ministry and godly example. While giving most of his life in serving the Lord whom he loves so passionately, he is also remembered as a devoted husband and family man.
Words of appreciation can only partially indicate the significance of Allan’s faithful commitment to Christ and the church, often in roles not leading to acclaim by the church of the world. We appreciate him, with his wife Anna, willingly sharing a capable ministry in a wide range of places always through a life of humble, dedicated servant leadership. The eulogy provides a small indication of a heart reaching out through a wide variety of venues. The church has been enriched by rev Heise’s pastoral leadership, musical skills, and ministry to the marginalized, including the people of he Six Nations, the Christian Benefit shop clients and the poor. Even upon retirement, he gave himself in a teaching ministry at Parkview Nursing Home and the Heise Hill Church.
Rev. Heise’s deep spiritual insights, humble spirit and generosity were a blessing wherever he went and for this we thank God. We are indebted to him for modeling a holistic and godly life. At this service The Canadian Conference expresses appreciation for his significant contributions to ministry in the denomination, the conference and through many lives represented in this room today
