2007 Week of prayer and fasting
During the week of January 7–14, 2007, Brethren in Christ congregations all over North America will be united in prayer. An outgrowth of the denominational vision for fervent prayer—that we will “pray and fast for the life-changing grace of God to renew the church”—the church-wide week of prayer and fasting has been a staple of denominational life since 1994.
Each year, prayer assemblies and concerts of prayer unite multiple congregations, and many churches plan special prayer meetings to start the New Year off in earnest conversation with God.
