Count down to General Conference 2008
With just under four months to go until congregational delegates gather in Richmond Hill, Ontario for the 2008 General Conference, registrations are beginning to trickle in even as planning continues for the biennial meeting. Although the program committee isn’t ready to release all the details, based on hallway conversations around the General Church office, this promises to be an exciting, inspirational conference.
Addressing concerns about the cost of conference
Despite our best efforts to hold down costs for General Conference, we realize that sending delegates can be difficult for our smallest congregations and/or bi-vocational pastors. Therefore, we are suggesting that if a single congregation is not able to afford to send pastor and/or delegate(s) to GC, several congregations may want to share the cost of sending one person to represent several congregations, not officially but at least informally. When registering, please indicate if you are representing more than one congregation.
