Fervent prayer

Prayer is central to our life together as a people of God. In fact, fully 76 percent of respondents to a survey of adults who attend BIC churches report that they pray daily—a discipline that is encouraged by our church-wide practice of beginning the year with a week of prayer and fasting.

In support of our shared commitment to fostering fervent prayer in our churches, the Communications Office has developed several prayer resources for use by whole congregations, Sunday school classes, small groups, and individuals. These include:

When the Righteous Pray, a leader’s how-to guide for transforming your congregation into a house of fervent prayer (available in English and Spanish).
Prayers of Abundance, a week of daily devotionals written by BIC pastors and designed to focus individuals on the power of prayer in the believer’s life(available in English and Spanish).
God Talks and Relying on God, prayer-themed small group study guides (available in English only).
