Leadership development

We will develop men and women as workers and leaders for an expanding network of congregations and ministries.

In mid-March, all roads for women in ministry and leadership within the BIC Church in North America will lead to Kenbrook Camp (Lebanon, PA), for the fourth biennial “Women at the Well” retreat. The three-day event provides women with a call to ministry, whether professionally or in a volunteer role, to learn in workshops, worship together, and get away from everyday life in the company of like-minded sisters in Christ. July 9–12, 2007 is the date for a Ministry Enrichment Retreat for BIC pastors and spouses. The once-every-four-year event gives pastoral couples a chance to step away briefly from the persistent obligations of congregational life and to engage in a period of spiritual renewal, reflection, and refreshment. Hans Finzel, author (10 Mistakes Leaders Make and Change is Like a Slinky) and president of World Venture, an international para-church missions organization, will serve as the resource leader for the retreat.
