Discovering What It’s All About
During the launch year of What’s It All About?, 19 churches have used this BIC-specific stewardship curriculum – 13 from the Atlantic Conference and 6 from elsewhere. With several more congregational What’s It All About? campaigns in the planning stages, we are well on our way to meeting the goal of 30 WIAA churches in 2006.
And better yet is God’s good work in individual hearts as a result of the What’s It All About? experience. As the following statement from Pastor Doug Miller ( Hershey BIC Church) illustrates, What’s It All About? can be the beginning of exciting conversations within a congregation.
“I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical at first. I don't like teaching/preaching on money and stewardship. And quite honestly, I was nervous about using ‘home grown’ denominational material. But we decided to go for it, and all I can say is I am in awe of God! What an amazing time in Christ! We are praising God for all that He is doing. We had 58 people using the daily devotionals. People have been commenting on how the Sunday messages (and I used most of them ‘as is’ with some contextualizing) have been used in their personal lives.” Read more >>
