God has called the Brethren in Christ Church to an exciting ministry plan. We have trusted God that by 2010 we will see the Brethren in Christ Church in North America grow to 325 healthy congregations in partnership to impact the world for Jesus Christ. With the number of congregations now at more than 300, we are within sight of our 10-year goal.
We have trusted God that by 2010 we will see strong leaders in every congregation and ministry. In the coming year we anticipate that more than 200 pastors and other ministry workers will be strengthened in their calling through the Core, Impact, and Directed Studies courses that are offered by Equipping for Ministry.
We have trusted God that by 2010 we will have 100 missionaries mobilized for global witness and service. In 2008, we moved closer to that goal as three couples were deployed with long-term assignments, all supported through team-based funding. In addition, 21 more women and men entered the Missionary Development Program.
Now it is up to us to match the momentum with our giving. The Partner’s Circle invites you to be part of God’s grand plans for the Brethren in Christ Church with an annual gift of $1,000 or more to Cooperative Ministries. Be God’s someone in 2009. Some members take a single step into the Partners’ Circle with a one-time gift of $1,000 (or more). For others, membership in the Partners’ Circle is achieved via multiple gifts throughout the year totaling the $1,000 thresh-hold. Regardless of how you come to the Partners’ Circle, you will be blessed by knowing you have a part in advancing kingdom goals through the shared ministries of the Brethren in Christ Church.
