Meet the "In Motion" Contributors

Kirsten Grubb is a member of Upland (Calif.) congregation and director of development for Pacific Lifeline.  She and her husband, Eric, live in Upland with their two sons, Adam (6) and Olson (4). Following the devastation of the 2007 wildfires that ravaged near her home in southern California, Kirsten wrote “When the smoke clears” for In Part magazine which tells the story of a BIC firefighter from the area. As a follow-up to that article, she also wrote “A day in the life of a firefighter” and composed a list of the “Top ten ways you can serve your local firefighters.”

Peggy Mumper, a freelance writer and editor, lives in New Cumberland, Pa., and attends the Harrisburg (Pa.) BIC Church with her husband and children. While in the state’s capital, she stopped in a few times at Paxton Ministries to write the In Part article “The trip of a lifetime” and the In Part Online article “Making a new home at Paxton.”

Jorilee Park is a junior English education major at Messiah College and has attended Cumberland Valley BIC Church (Dillsburg, Pa.) her whole life (minus the five months that she spent studying literature in England last spring).  Jorilee is an intern with the BIC Communications Department and has written a number of articles, including “Praying for Empowerment” and a handful for the BIC homepage.

Jeff Quick is a writer and editor living in Philadelphia (of all places) with his wife, Meredith, and dog, Dylan. Being a member of Circle of Hope Broad & Washington helped him connect with Andrea Collins in order to write “Extreme Makeover” and inspired him to co-found the church’s Unda Water company, which you can read more about by reading his interview.
