Meet the "In Motion" Contributors
Debra Bremer attends Etiwanda BIC Church in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., where she participates in Bible studies, river rafting trips, and barbeques. Debra contributed “Back-to-school blessings,” a news story about the ways in which a group of BIC churches in California (known as the Kingdom Coalition) provides school supplies to the children of poor, migrant workers in Mexico.
Lisa Brown resides in Oakville, ON where she; her husband, Kevin; and their daughter attend The Meeting House. Lisa and Kevin are movie fanatics and see as many as they can in the theatre every year. Lisa has been freelance writing for 15 years and has a passion for First Nations People. And it was this passion which inspired Lisa to write “Leaving home to find it,” a story about First Nation youth and one family’s desire to serve them.
Jane A. Clinton is a cell leader coordinator at Circle of Hope church in Philadelphia, Pa. In her article, “Miracle at Frankford and Tioga,” Jane shares about the growth, healing, and miracles taking place at Iglesia de Monte Carmelo, another BIC church in her neighborhood
Devin Thomas is a junior at Messiah College (Grantham, Pa.), where he studies, writes, and drinks way too much Mountain Dew. He grew up in the Carlisle (Pa.) Church and attends Harrisburg (Pa.) BIC when at Messiah. During his summer internship in the BIC denomination offices, Devin was busy writing clever articles for In Part magazine, IN PART Online, the BIC website, and various publications put out by the BIC Foundation, some of which can be found below:
“K.B.’s stories”
“Without curling up in a ball: Looking for truth in popular music”
“A balancing act” (introduction)
