Thank you for visiting the 2012 BIC Health Plan webpage. Caring for the health and well-being of pastors and other church workers is important to the Brethren in Christ Church. For congregations in the United States, that includes access to a denominationally sponsored health insurance program.
What's new?
D. H. Evans is now providing the administrative services previously provided by both Highmark and Everence. We will continue to insure our own claims (now up to $50,000), with stop-loss coverage through another carrier for claims in excess of $50,000.
D. H. Evans has helped us locate a stop-loss carrier that will save us money over our prior arrangement and still protect us from high-cost claims (commonly referred to as a "catastrophic loss") by providing a maximum liability ceiling.
We thank you for your patience as we get the new system in place. If your church is currently enrolled in the BIC Health Plan, we hope this information will be useful for both employers and members of the BIC Health Plan.
For more information on D. H. Evans, please visit their website: www.evanstpa.com.
How do I join?
If your church is not currently enrolled in the plan, please note that we are extending Open Enrollment for the 2012 calendar year for any non-participating churches. You will find the enrollment form for any non-participating churches here.
We are in the process of providing D. H. Evans with contact names and addresses for each enrolled group. If you have not done so already, please inform Pam Arnold of the contact information for the church representative that should be on file with D. H. Evans.
If you have any questions related to the BIC Health Plan, please refer to the Frequently Asked Questions for assistance.
