M107 Introduction to Effective Prison Ministry
This course will challenge students to consider ways in which effective Christian prison ministry intersect with Christian discipleship, the particularities of prison culture, legal considerations regarding religious accommodation, public policy objectives intended to reduce recidivism, and reentry initiatives to prepare inmates to return to society. Students will collaborate with at least one prison ministry group and will explore strategies and resources available to develop creative approaches to introduce individuals affected by crime to the benefits of becoming a disciple of Jesus Christ.
