H203 The Heritage of Pietism
The Brethren in Christ began out of a Pietistic revival, but what is Pietism? This course begins with the German roots of Pietism and then explores its history, theological concerns, and contributions to Western Christianity. You will keep a notebook of significant information based on your readings and will write a summary paper on Pietism’s influence on the Brethren in Christ after reading articles by Brethren in Christ authors.
