Equipping for Ministry

Directed Study Program Courses

The Directed Study Program consists of e-mail delivered courses developed and taught from a specifically Brethren in Christ perspective. Designed to shape and support pastors and lay leaders in the biblical convictions that are at the heart of our life and work as a Church, the Directed Study Program is also helpful for those sensing a call to vocational ministry.

The courses, designed to be flexible, relational, practical, and affordable, cover a full range of topics related to Christian faith, and leadership, and as well as ministry. They are developed by academically and experientially qualified syllabi writers and faculty.

Those seeking to meet the educational requirements for ordination need to successfully complete eleven required courses along with one elective courses of their choice. While there is no academic credit for these courses, a certificate is available from Ashland Theological Seminary to those completing the program.
