Financial Services Team

Mandate:
The Financial Services Team (FST) manages our key financial funds with a commitment to providing money for on-going ministry. Here is a brief description of the work this team does.

Brethren in Christ Fund:
This is our way of making funds available to churches for capital projects. We welcome depositors to invest in kingdom building by placing their money in this fund, which is then managed to allow for a portion to be on loan to our churches in Canada. A reasonable interest rate is paid and the funds are always available on short notice to the investor. A designated interest plan also exists whereby your interest income can be directed toward a valued ministry of your choice.

A system is in place to make funds available to our churches on loan as they start or add to their facilities. Application forms for loan approvals are available for download on this site.

The Future Fund:
This fund was established in 1999 and is similar to an endowment wherein a large sum is being accumulated through donations and the interest generated will help support ministry over time through grants. Currently the fund is at approximately $300,000 and the guidelines of the fund allow for a 10 % distribution of the principle every five years. $30,000 was just released in March of 2005. For more information contact Leonard Chester at 905-894-3463 or Lchester@niagara.com.

The Ministers Pension Fund:
This is our pastoral retirement pension plan currently under the auspices of the Canadian Council of Christian Charities. We function under a brotherhood model which allows participation by all our churches no matter size or financial status.
