Compassionate Ministries Team
The Compassionate Ministries Team was established with the mandate of developing and promoting ministries of peace-making, justice and compassion amongst the Brethren in Christ Churches.
The team is composed of a group of individuals representing the Canadian Conference.

This team is working towards the following:
- All congregations engages in some form of local compassionate ministry.
- Active support and engagement in the ministries of Mennonite Central Committee.
- At least 10 Canadians serving with relief ministries beyond the local church with at least five serving with MCC.
- Annual Contributions of $50,000 to the World Hunger Fund through creative promotion.
- Operating Three thrift shops to support the work of MCC.
The Compassionate Ministries Team seeks to educate and facilitate the showing of care and compassion in the local church, so that they in turn can serve their community and those overseas.
About Carole Phillips
Carole grew up in England and came to Canada in 1974. She is married to Graham and have three grown up children and four grandsons. Carole and her husband have been involved in two church plants, and served as Youth Pastors for ten years in a local Baptist Church.
For a number of years Carole worked for a Christian Relief and Development Organization as a Program Co-ordinator for Africa and Eastern Europe. In 2002 the opportunity arose for her to serve with the Canadian Conference of the Brethren in Christ Church, where she enjoys a variety of responsibilities. She has also been able to put her relief and development experience to use as a Board Member of the Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) Bi-national and MCC Ontario.
