• We think of ourselves as a warm and caring congregation, so compassion ministry is who we are.
• We worry that our congregation is perceived as stand-offish by our community, and we’d like to prove the perception wrong.
• We’ve never really tried to reach out to our community, but we think it’s time we did.

3. What congregational strengths can we build on as we think about compassion ministry?

• A ready source of volunteer talent
• A neighborhood that has lots of needs
• A building that can be made available for community use
